Eloping in NYC: A Guide to the Perfect Intimate Wedding

I had the pleasure of capturing Monty and Dan’s Intimate Elopement in NYC. It was a timeless and classy occasion.

Monty and Dan flew from Dubai to get married in New York, a city with special meaning to them. They eloped right on the rooftop of the Library Hotal, near Grand Central Station, and invited only their closest family members to witness. I feel so fortunate to have captured this day for the two of them.

New York City is the perfect destination for couples looking to have an intimate wedding ceremony. With its stunning skyline, diverse neighborhoods, and iconic landmarks, NYC offers endless possibilities for a unique and memorable elopement experience.

Here are some tips for planning the perfect elopement in NYC:

  1. Choose your location: NYC has many beautiful and unique locations to choose from, such as Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, or the High Line. You can also consider non-traditional locations like a rooftop terrace or a private garden. Think about the atmosphere you want to create and the backdrop that will make your photos truly unforgettable.
  2. Hire a photographer: Even though you're eloping, you'll still want to capture the special moments of your day. Hire a photographer who specializes in elopements and knows the city well. They can help you choose the best locations and create a photo album that you'll cherish forever.
  3. Find an officiant: You'll need to find someone to perform your ceremony. There are many officiants in NYC who specialize in elopements, so do your research to find someone who resonates with you and your partner.
  4. Dress to impress: Just because you're eloping doesn't mean you can't dress up! Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident, and that reflect your personal style.
  5. Celebrate: After the ceremony, take time to celebrate your love and your new life together. NYC offers many great restaurants, bars, and attractions where you can toast to your love and create more memories.

Eloping in NYC can be a magical and unforgettable experience. With a little planning and creativity, you can create the perfect intimate wedding day that's just as special as a traditional ceremony.
